Meet Chef Nancy

web photo

My name is Nancy McAveeney and my passion for cooking has always been a truly rewarding part of my life. I grew up in a family full of great cooks. As a teenager I specialized in appetizers and snacks. (Of course!) In college I prepared romantic meals for my friends and their visiting boyfriends as a way to earn spending money. For many years I prepared outstanding home-cooked meals for my family each night.

Although I never lost my joy of feeding the people I care about, I’m now an empty-nester. What better way to spend my time than sharing my skills and enthusiasm with clients who are too busy to cook or who simply dread the planning, shopping and cleanup of meal preparation.

I am a member of the US Personal Chef Association and I have earned a certificate from the Culinary Business Academy as well as ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree from Plymouth State University.

Listen to my interview with Joanne Randall of WTPL (show #20 on the archive list).
